The Child Development Associate (CDA) is a nationally-recognized credential administered by the Council for Professional Recognition in Washington D.C. For more information log onto http://www.cdacouncil.org/cda.htm
The CDA credential can be either credit or non-credit bearing and requires:
- 120 hours of training
- 480 hours of classroom experience
- development of a professional portfolio
- a classroom observation
